Hi, my name is Owen, and I’ll be a senior at Brookfield Central High School next year.

Living with epilepsy and cerebral palsy has made some parts of growing up look a little different for me. While many of my friends are getting their driver’s licenses and starting jobs, I’m navigating seizures, medication changes, and physical challenges that can make everyday tasks take extra focus, patience, and determination. 

After brainstorming ideas with my family for something I could do from home, we came up with woodworking projects. My family has fully jumped in to help make this adventure possible — especially my 13-year-old brother, who has the biggest heart and has been so excited to help me every step of the way.

Creating and selling my work will give me the opportunity to be creative, continue building strength and coordination on my right side, build confidence, earn money, and work toward greater independence. Every purchase, share, and word of encouragement means so much to our family.
